Brake Adjustment
If you have a
late model Capri like mine, the hand-brake is adjusted using a knurled adjuster near the
back axle.
You will have to get the back end of the car off the ground and crawl under. The adjuster
and all visible cable and linkages are hopefully well covered in grease. If not, then give
them a generous dose to prevent seizure. The hand brake lever should be full-on after 4
clicks. To adjust, let off the hand-brake and move the adjuster with a large pair of
pliers. By trial and error, you should be able to work out which way it needs to go.
